Where the record stands

Lordaeron
He was born to its nobility and raised, after his parents’ deaths, by the Church of the Holy Light. Capital City was the home he claimed. Faol taught him there, then knighted him there, in the first circle of the Silver Hand. The Second War made him the Alliance’s lieutenant while Lordaeron was still the kingdom that thought it could organize the others. He did not grow old in it. By the time Arthas ended the kingdom, Turalyon was already a presumed corpse beyond the Dark Portal.

Blackrock Mountain
The siege of Blackrock Spire is the battle that replaces Lothar with Turalyon. Doomhammer struck the Supreme Commander down on the mountain. Turalyon took the shattered sword and the standard, the Light showed on him, and the warchief was captured rather than killed in the mud. The monarchs of the Seven Kingdoms confirmed him as commander after the fact. He has spent the rest of the published story treating that slope as a debt.

The Dark Portal
The portal is the door he led an army through, and the door he helped destroy. After Draenor began to come apart, the Sons of Lothar broke the portal’s frame so the wreck would not take Azeroth with it. He and Alleria did not come back through it. For years the portal was also a kind of gravestone: heroes on the far side, two of them missing, a son on this side asking the stones where his parents had gone.

Draenor
Draenor was already a wounded world when the Sons of Lothar arrived. They beat the Horde there in a string of fights that did not survive Ner’zhul’s last spell. Continents cracked. The expedition’s victory and the world’s ending are the same week in the summaries. Turalyon’s last peaceful gesture on that side of the story, such as it was, was a memorial to Lothar. Then the rift.

Argus
Argus was the Legion’s seat and the Army of the Light’s destination. Turalyon reached it as High Exarch, with a thousand years of that war behind him and his son suddenly in reach. The campaign killed the Legion’s hold on its homeworld. It also killed Xe’ra, at Illidan’s hand, in front of the man she had forged. He went home to Azeroth from Argus with the Army’s allegiance offered to the Alliance, and with a reunion that had not needed any of his prepared speeches.

Stormwind
He rebuilt it after the Second War and supported Varian’s reign with ministers, returning citizens, and the Deeprun Tram. The Valley of Heroes later held his statue among the presumed dead. When he came back he was Lord Commander, then regent while Anduin was in the Maw, with the House of Nobles behind the appointment. Stormwind is the city that keeps giving him the keys and then needing him somewhere else.

Quel’Thalas
Alleria’s kingdom, and the country that helped raise Arator after it burned. Turalyon’s own late war comes here in Midnight: the Sunwell under attack, the Vanguard of the Light as guests in Silvermoon, a ritual that punches a beam into the Voidstorm and only buys time. Amani Pass is in this same country. That is where he wounded Arator. Quel’Thalas is not a backdrop. It is the place the family fails in public.

The Voidspire
The spire is the last place the published campaign can find him. Xal’atath waits at the top of the Void’s work. Alleria is turned, recovered, and not saved. The Darkwell opens. Turalyon and Alleria go into it. His status after that page is unknown. The chronicle stops on purpose. A well is not a grave until someone who was there says so, and the public story has not said so.
